His father taught him the rudiments of the Stylist arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Trey alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
