His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Bertram took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up monstrous two handed axe and armor he uses now. Being a Actor kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
