History: Anselm hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. After months of barely getting by, Anselm managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it.

Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He is dressed in earthy colors with a brown and grey handkerchief worn on his right side. His tied-back hair is chestnut. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: He wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around his neck, and a greataxe on his belt. He is portly but not overly obese. He is bald on top and has large chestnut tufts of hair around his ears. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and to get a good night's sleep

Description: This slender man stands about 5'2". He wears a pastel shirt, with a brown mid length shorts with brown tights and flats, usually wearing a coat over them. He wears a Stetson hat to hide his balding. His green eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He feeds upon the attention of others.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and he wants revenge against gnolls

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Charles hails from a village terrorized by giants. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He struck the Brewer job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: To be a Carter again; and he is greedy
