History: Miles lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Through the years after Miles was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Solomon never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
