This search led him directly into Bookbinder work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bookbinder work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

He disdains his fellow northerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Jocelyn and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
