History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ernest was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gifted student he started as a Sage, but he got bored and became a Guard. He has taken up work as a Guard and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of giants may trigger it at times.

History: Don hails from a village terrorized by giants. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Ruler. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Ruler for the past few years.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and sabotage a competitor

His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Rolf lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Sailor work with an outfit from a few towns over. Sailor work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has worked as a Sailor like his father before him.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He takes great joy in being the best Tanner in town.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He worked as a nervous Adventurer and found it very stressful. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
