History: He was born into a rich family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now mingles about in high society.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Anselm grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Anselm. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Through the years after Bernard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Bernard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Dilettante for the past few years.
