History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A freak accident while working with his Scribe mother left him crippled. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Charles was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Charles decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
