History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of a Ruler, who enjoyed hunting, Rolf was taken on many hunting expeditions. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
