History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Gilbert and his spouse have recently divorced.

Odo decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with.
