History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Alex was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Mason. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Heward abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

During his travels, Kody and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Kody discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Kody fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
