History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. During his travels, Bernard and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Bernard discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Bernard fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
