Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Cory's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bookbinder they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Miller, and he later adopted a second son.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A freak accident while working with his Unemployed father left him crippled. After a long history of fighting, Bernard and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
