History: Born in the west to a Blacksmith, Gerard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. A true patriot, Hubert would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.
