He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Don was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gifted student he started as a Unemployed, but he got bored and became a Layabout. He tends to his Layabout job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Gerard hails from a village terrorized by goblins. He worked as a nervous Layabout and found it very stressful. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult.
