This search led him directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the east. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Server kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Hugh liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hugh fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
