Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. The war was a terrible time for him, and Manfred does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born into a rich family. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has achieved small success as a Ruler.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and balancing his hectic life and new ruler responsibilities is difficult

Personality: Shane is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he loathes his own lifestyle

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Aldous grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
