History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Nicholas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Performer. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Description: He is wearing colorful clothing, dressed as a Courier. He has a slight overbite and is overall scrawny. He keeps his red hair in a pixie cut. His blue eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: He is a Courier first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. A friendly and beautiful Human, he is rarely seen without a few beauties around his arms. Though a playboy in all rights, he is no lame duck.

History: Born to a Ploughman, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: Justin was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and to be a brewer again

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He is typically in his Shoemaker uniform. His silver hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are hazel.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: Born in the north to a Shoemaker, Hugh learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Hugh never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
