History: Frederick hails from a village terrorized by drow. He married young, but lost his spouse to drow. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
