To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Arnold. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Roland was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Map Maker for hire.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and retire the richest man in the west

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Hubert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
