He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Shoemaker. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Knight. He tends to his Knight job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He tends to wear a black poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. He wears a small hat to cover his moderate length white hair. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: Bernard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Guard work with an outfit from a few towns over. Guard work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Guard for the past few years.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
