He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Being a Roofer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered orcs who tried to eat his hand. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Everard was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.
