History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Charles grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Charles. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Hugh was born the youngest of three triplets. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: The child of a Sellsword, who enjoyed hunting, Gunter was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Gunter alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
