His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his blue eyes.

Personality: This man loves painting and to teach people painting more than just about anything. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Aldous was born with his father's beautiful face. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to end his boredom

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. Robert enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: The child of a Spy, who enjoyed hunting, Robert was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was born into a rich family. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
