Bertram grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
