History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Bertram alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: Born to a Beggar, his father struggled to pay the bills. He dropped out of school to support his sick father, and resented it. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Beggar they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Painter, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. After a long history of fighting, Cory and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and wants to raise his children well
