He has a long golden beard with little hanging trinkets. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his violet eyes.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. Heward enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He is greedy.

Description: A middle-aged man, he dresses like a well dressed Detective does, and is pretty ugly. His long red hair reaches down to his waist. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Charles hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Detective arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Detective. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 7 years.

History: The child of a Merchant, who enjoyed hunting, Lance was taken on many hunting expeditions. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He has achieved small success as a Layabout.

Description: A 5'7" western man, he wears tight fitting pants and leather jackets. He usually doesn't wear a shirt. He is bald on top and has large auburn tufts of hair around his ears. His hazel eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Dean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
