History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Randal hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
