History: Born in the north to a Banker, Roland learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has achieved small success as a Banker.

To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Stableman for the past few years.
