History: Percival was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature longbow.

History: Dustin lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Engraver they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Roofer, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: He is a Ruler first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Dustin was born with his father's beautiful face. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ruler. Recently the stress of being a Ruler has made it difficult for him to sleep.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His childhood dream was to be a Shoemaker, but he was a colossal failure. He's also a talented Shoemaker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
