History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His childhood dream was to be a Fortune-teller, but he was a colossal failure. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: He wears a yellow vest with golden trim over his white shirt. His red leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his yellow boots flare out at the collars. He carries with him a set of pickaxes, each one with a jet on the hilt. He only wears one on his belt and the other on his back. His silver hair, when down, is lengthy. His amber eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Nicholas isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Nicholas hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Nicholas alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nicholas fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
