History: Alex was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. His parents enrolled him in a Fighter school at a young age so that he could practice his arcane talents. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: He was born into a rich family. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Ruler born in the past three hundred years. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His father, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He has achieved small success as a Ruler.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and his religion dominates his actions

Description: He is a husky man, who wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination. His hair is long and auburn with streaks of blonde, and is pulled back with small tan clips. His beard is blonde, braided, and well cared for. He has brown eyes.

Personality: Gunter hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He disdains his fellow southerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Gunter was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Baker for the past few years.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

Description: This late middle aged man is wearing a perfectly clean shirt and pair of pants and is in decent physical shape. His blonde hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born in the west. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Aldous grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Aldous. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
