History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Heward was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he is unsatisfied with his job

He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
