Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Roland grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, gnolls burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. After a long history of fighting, Roland and his spouse have recently divorced.
