History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: Conrad was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Human compassion; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break.
