History: Frederick hails from a village terrorized by brigands. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered brigands who tried to eat his hand. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Arnold alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Seamstress and occasionally as a mercenary.

History: Manfred was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Blacksmith work with an outfit from a few towns over. Blacksmith work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He's also a talented Hunter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He found a children's book about a Human Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he's looking for his big break

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. A true patriot, Balimaar would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
