History: Ralf was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting gnolls, the young Ralf began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. A true patriot, Manfred would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: The child of a Slave Trader, who enjoyed hunting, Manfred was taken on many hunting expeditions. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
