History: He was born in the south. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Nicholas never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
