History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the east. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Stableman. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Stableman for hire.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.

He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Clerebold was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: The child of a Servant, who enjoyed hunting, Balimaar was taken on many hunting expeditions. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and wishes to resurrect an old love
