He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting drow, the young Hubert began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Hubert was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He found a children's book about a Human Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero.
