History: Bernard was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
