After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Charles was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was born into a rich family. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
