History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Lance's homeland. Lance decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and money/treasure

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Roger embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is obsessed with his god.

History: He was born in a small island village. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roger was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is greedy

History: Heward hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting brigands, the young Heward began to lead the lost caravan. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He's in love; and he has a crush on the local fletcher
