He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Nicholas alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he desires power and/or immortality

History: Born to a Dyer, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He found a children's book about a Human Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he's looking for his big break
