History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Cory was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
