History: Roland hails from a village terrorized by goblins. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered goblins who tried to eat his hand. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Charles was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Scribe.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees.
