Description: An older man who wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment, he is not a threatening figure. He has black hair. His amber eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: Chad was born the youngest of three triplets. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Born to a Tailor, his father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Apothecary hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and to get a good night's sleep

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
