History: He was raised by priests from a young age. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is wracked by social anxiety

History: Manfred lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Roland fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Adelard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
