Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. The war was a terrible time for him, and Conrad does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Adelard was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Courier. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
