History: John hails from a village terrorized by drow. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His parents enrolled him in a Monk school at a young age so that he could practice his divine talents. He now owns his own business.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: Richard hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Richard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and he wants revenge against dire rats

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things.
